泊船という特別ないけばなです。いけばなでは普通は花で何かの形を作るということはしませんが、唯一の例外がこの泊船です。船の形の器に花を帆に見立てていけて、全体で停泊している船の姿を表します。

夜のしんとした海に泊まっている船の雰囲気が出るように、あまり動かさずにいけます。2人とも上手に入りました。

This is a special style of ikebana called “Tomaribune”. In ikebana, we usually do not make shapes with flowers, but Tomaribune is the only exception. Flowers are arranged like sails in a boat-shaped container to show a ship at rest.

To create the feeling of a quiet ship resting on the sea at night, the flowers are arranged with very little movement. Both of them did a good job.
