部屋に生の植物があると、たとえそれがほんの一枝、一本の草花であっても、ぐっといい感じになると思いませんか。もちろん色や形の美しさもありますが、生であるということが鍵なのではと思います。絵や置物などほかのどんなインテリアとも違った力があります。

お気に入りの太陽の塔の隣にいぼたを一枝いけてみました。花器は師匠から頂いたものです。

Don’t you think you feel much better when there’s a real plant in a room—even just a single branch or flower? Of course, the color and shape are beautiful, but I think what really matters is that it’s alive. It has a kind of power that’s different from paintings, ornaments, or any other kind of interior decoration.

I placed a single branch of Ibota next to my favorite Tower of the Sun, created by Taro Okamoto. The vase was a gift from my teacher.
